NOTICE OF VACANCY – TOWN CHAIRPERSON

The Town of Lynne is seeking interested and qualified residents to fill a vacancy in the office of Town Chairperson.

The Town Chairperson presides over Town Board meetings and works with the Town Supervisors and other Town officials in overseeing Town operations, roads, finances, ordinances, contracts, and other matters affecting the community.

The person appointed will serve the remainder of the current term, which expires in April 2027. The position will then be filled through the regular Spring Election.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, a United States citizen, and a qualified elector and resident of the Town of Lynne.

Interested residents should submit a letter of interest that includes:

  • Their name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  • A brief description of their experience or qualifications;
  • Why they are interested in serving as Town Chairperson; and
  • Any experience with local government, budgeting, road maintenance, personnel, or community service.

Letters of interest must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11th and may be mailed or delivered to:

Applicants may be asked to attend a Town Board meeting to answer questions regarding their interest and qualifications. The appointment will be made by the remaining Town Supervisors and Town Clerk in accordance with Wisconsin law.
