NOTICE OF OPEN BOOK AND BOARD OF REVIEW
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 70.45 that the assessment roll for the Year 2026 assessment for the Town of Lynne will be open for examination on May 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Lynne Town Hall, 5102 Willow Rd, Tripoli, WI 54564. Instructional material about the assessment and Board of Review procedures under Wis. Stat. § 70.47 will be available at that time. The assessor will be available to answer questions regarding the assessments.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 70.47 that the Board of Review for the Town of Lynne shall hold its first meeting on May 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Lynne Town Hall, 5102 Willow Rd, Tripoli, WI 54564. The Board of Review will meet for at least two (2) hours.
Please be advised of the following requirements to appear before the Board of Review and procedural requirements if appearing before the Board:
No person shall be allowed to appear before the Board of Review, to testify to the Board by telephone or to contest the amount of any assessment of real or personal property unless written or oral notice of intent to file an objection is given to the Clerk at least 48 hours before the first meeting of the Board of Review, except as provided under Wis. Stat. § 70.47(7)(aa).
After the first meeting of the Board of Review and before the Board’s final adjournment, no person who is scheduled to appear before the Board of Review may contact, or provide information to, a member of the Board of Review about that person’s objection except at a session with the Board.
No person may appear before the Board of Review, testify to the Board, or object to a valuation unless, at least 48 hours before the first meeting of the Board of Review or at least 48 hours before the objection is heard if the objection is allowed under Wis. Stat. § 70.47(3)(a), that person provides to the Clerk a copy of the person’s written objection, using the form prescribed by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue.
The Board of Review may adjourn from time to time until its business is completed.
